Welcome to Hope Chapel Lewiston

Have you ever walked into a place and felt like a fish out of water?

We know that walking into a new place can be a little awkward and uncomfortable, especially a church.  It is our hope that you would find Hope Chapel to be a place that you quickly feel welcomed just as you are with no expectation of feeling like you've got to act or look a certain way.

The dynamics of our congregation range from very mature Christians to those who come in off the street as well as from young children to our "senior saints".  Whether you are new to the Lord or have been walking in the Spirit for years we believe that you will find Hope Chapel Lewiston to be a place of life, love and safety.

It is a passion of ours to see all people, young and old, filled and walking in the hope that Jesus Christ has poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. The belief that each and every person is called to be a marketplace minister of the supernatural power of the gospel motivates us to disciple and equip the Body of Christ through the leading of the Holy Spirit.

You can expect to experience the following at our Sunday gatherings:

Praise & Worship: Our time of praise is intended to help us remember how good and pleasant it is for us to join together in unity and lift up our voices unto the Lord, the King of kings.  It is in this place of praise that we then can truly enter into worship.  Worship is our expression of awareness that the Holy Spirit is present to heal and deliver.  We welcome the Holy Spirit to speak and reveal the areas that He wants to ministry to.  This is the exciting and spontaneous component to our gatherings.  You will often see people raising their arms or kneeling. We welcome individuals to grab a banner to sing and dance unto the Lord while keeping the unity of the Body of Christ.

Children: We love children and have made it our purpose to incorporate the children into our Sunday gatherings.  We invite families to come and grow in the Lord together.  We usually keep our children in during our Praise and Worship time because we know that they learn through experience and exposure.  This can at times mean needing to deal with behavior, but we welcome it in love and our family of Hope understands children.

We do offer an age appropriate time of teaching and equipping after our Praise and Worship while our adult members get the equipped and trained in the bible. We call our K-6th grade ministry Kingdom Kids.  We focus on experiencing God, character development and discipleship.  Our children love God and it's awesome to see them making a difference in our community.

Our nursery is available throughout the service for children 0-5yrs old and is designed to welcome your little ones into a place of safety and peace.  We find that even at this young age they recongize the presence of the Holy Spirit and feel His love and peace.

Teaching:  Our purpose for Sunday gatherings isn't so much to teach you how to read the bible, we let MiniChurch do that, but it is to bring a message of hope from the bible so that we can go out a let the supernatural power of God meet the incredible needs our our family, friends, and neighbors.  We like to say Hope in You, Hope in the Community, Hope in the Nations because that is what we are call to bring, Jesus Christ, the hope of glory.

Tithes & Offering: We collect tithes and offerings every Sunday as an act of obedience unto the Lord.  This collect is used by the ministry of Hope to meet the needs of the ministry; like providing benevolence for our members in need, resourcing our members to effectively transform our community, paying for buildings and staff.  The stewardship of our finances are overseen by an elected council of kingdom minded believers who are committed to seeing the Gospel message reach the ends of the earth through our calling and mission.

Ministry & Prayer:  At times the Holy Spirit will lead us during our gatherings to pray for a variety of issues ranging from sicknesses, like cancer or broken bones, to issues of the soul, like depression and confusion.  When these time come we welcome them knowing that when the Spirit leads, people get touched and healed.  We've seen diseases like fibromyalgia and back problems healed immediately to fear and depression leaving individuals.  though most prayer and healing takes place in MiniChurches our Sundays are meant to encourage us and remind us of how great our God is, so we are always welcoming our Healer to heal!

Maybe you've felt like a fish out of water while attending a local church, but hopefully you will discover the joy of being one who is no longer confined by a fish bowl but is free jump for joy.

Let us know if we can help you in anyway discover the hope and love of our Savior Jesus Christ.  You may contact us at hcl@hopechapellewiston.com or 208-305-7827.

See you on Sunday!
